At Lismore Clinical Psychology we know that life has its ups and downs. In fact, within any year 1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental illness (Australian Bureau of Statistics, October, 2008). Life can be stressful and seeking help to manage other difficulties, such as relationship, parenting, and workplace problems can make a huge difference to how we feel and cope.
At Lismore Clinical Psychology principal clinical psychologist, Robyn Warburton, works with each client to tailor a therapeutic approach that meets their unique needs.
Following an initial and thorough assessment, Robyn works collaboratively with clients in choosing the best fit evidenced based psychotherapy. There is wealth of information available in the media and on the web about problems ranging from stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship conflict, right through to problems such as suicide, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, post-traumatic stress and personality problems.
While a great resource, this abundance of information can be confusing and overwhelming. That’s why finding the help, support, and information that is the right fit for each client’s specific situation is so important. Sometimes a client will only need a few appointments, others might benefit more from a longer term approach. It all depends on what YOU need.
